Information Collection and Use
Fifth Avenue Collection Ltd. is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Fifth Avenue Collection Ltd. collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
Registration
In order to use certain areas of this site, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to provide their contact information (such as name, postal addresses, e-mail, address, and phone number). We use this information to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest.
Newsletter
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletters, we ask the user to register as described in "Registration" above, thus providing their contact information. A user may unsubscribe from these services, as described in our choice and opt-out provisions below.
Special Offers
We send all new registered users a welcoming e-mail to verify their registrations. We will also provide registered users with information on products, services, special offers and promotions, and a newsletter by e-mail and/or postal mail. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we provide the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see our choice and opt-out provisions below.
Placing Orders
Registered users may purchase our products using our order form. Here a user must provide financial information (like credit card number and expiration date), and may provide additional contact information (such as a shipping address which differs from the user's mailing address). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill and ship orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this information is used to contact the user.
Jeweller Assignment
A user may request us to locate a Fifth Avenue Collection Independent jeweller in the user's geographic area to act as the user's local contact with Fifth Avenue Collection Ltd. This provides the user the opportunity to physically examine our products, to purchase our products in person, and to take advantage of various online and off-line promotions.
To do this, we will ask the user to register, as described in "Registration" above, and thus provide contact information (like name, postal address, telephone number, and e-mail address). This information will be provided to the Fifth Avenue Collection Ltd. Independent Jeweller who we assign to the user. The Jeweller can then provide the user with company related catalogs, or may also sell Fifth Avenue Collection jewellery directly to the user.
Site and Service Updates
We send all new registered users a welcoming e-mail to verify their registrations. We will also provide registered users with information on products, services, special offers and promotions, and a newsletter by e-mail and/or postal mail. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we provide the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see our choice and opt-out provisions below.
Cookies
We use both session and non-session cookies to enable specific functions on our site. Session cookies are given out by our site server by default and although they can be disabled this will disable all shopping cart activities. These are also used by ASP technology to track the user's session variables. A session variable is used when a user logs in to maintain the user's logon state. Our site also uses session cookies to store the VIP account after the customer logs on. This gives the user a slightly different shopping cart experience (gift wrapping for one), and allows them to access their personalized VIP screens. All authenticated logons (i.e.: the Jeweller's Only area) use session cookies to maintain the user's logon state.
Non-Session cookies are used to support the shopping cart and the wish list. The user can close the browser and continue to shop at a later time without losing their shopping cart or wish list. Site Server cookies are used as the mechanism for this feature. They are only used within the shopping cart area. We do not use cookies to gather personally identifiable information. Any personally identifiable information is given on a voluntary basis submitted through a form. This information is not stored in a cookie.
Use of Tracking pixels and marketing on Facebook and Google
This site uses Google and Facebook remarketing tools or similar audiences to advertise online. Third party vendors including Google show our ads across the internet and use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to our website. You may opt out of Google's use of cookies by visiting http://google.com/settings/ads/onweb/optout?hl=en . Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page: http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#/
Use of Lead ads on Facebook
Fifth Avenue Collection uses leads ads to collect information from interested parties via lead form advertisements on Facebook. Lead ad data collected will comply with our privacy policy and we will not not augment, commingle, or supplement such Lead Ad Data with any other data from any other advertiser. Our lead ad data is protected against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access and we provide a level of security appropriate to the risk represented by the processing and the nature of the data to be protected. All lead ads will comply to Facebooks advertising policies.
Log Files
We use IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, platform type, and date/time stamp to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Information Storage
We do not share, sell, or rent any personally identifiable information collected through our site, except as described here. We use outside shipping companies to ship orders, and credit card processing companies to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purpose.
As described in "Jeweller Assignment" above, we will, at the user's request, provide the user's name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address to a Fifth Avenue Collection Independent Jeweller in the user's geographic area to act as the user's local contact with Fifth Avenue Collection Ltd. The Independent Jeweller is not allowed to use this information for any other purpose.
Security
We take every precaution to protect our users' information when they submit sensitive information via the site. This information is protected both online and off-line.
When our order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and expiry date), that information is encrypted and protected with the best encryption software in the industry - Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL for short. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer shows the lock in the closed position, as opposed to the open position displayed when you are just 'surfing'. To learn more about SSL, follow this link to http://www.whichssl.com/what_is_ssl.html.
We do not retain sensitive information such as credit card numbers online. All credit card information is stored on an offline system for 18 months (this time is set by our merchant account providers) to facilitate handling of credit card disputes.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen savers when they leave their desks. When they return, they must re-enter their password to regain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, in a locked room, in a building protected by an externally-monitored alarm system and by surveillance cameras.
If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an e-mail to privacypolicy@fifthavenuecollection.com

Correcting and Updating Personal Information
If a user's personally identifiable information (such as the user's address, email or phone number) changes, or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update, or remove that user's personal data provided to us. This can normally be done at the "Personal Information" section of our site or by contacting our Customer Support representatives:
in person or by postal mail at 30 Stadacona Street West
by e-mail to customersupport@fifthavenuecollection.com
by telephone at (306)694-8188 or toll free at 1-800-667-3276
We do not retain sensitive information such as credit card numbers online; hence, a user cannot correct such information online.
Choice and Opt-Out
Users may specify the purposes for which we may use their information at the point where we ask for that information. For example, our order form has an opt-out mechanism so users who buy a product from us, but don't want any marketing material, can keep their e-mail address off of our lists. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials may opt out of receiving these communications at the member information page, by replying to emails with "unsubscribe" in the subject line of the e-mail, by sending an e-mail to unsubscribe@fifthavenuecollection.com, or by contacting our Customer Support representatives as described in "Correcting and Updating Personal Information" above.
Users of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether or not they should proceed with services that require an outside party.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our home page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an e-mail. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
